It’s assumed that Sister Wives Season 18 isn’t airing on discovery+ or MAX early due to the merger between the two streaming services. It’s possible that the merger eliminated the early access option.

Unfortunately, as of Tuesday, September 5, the Welcome to Plathville Season 5 premiere is not on discovery+ and MAX. In the past, the first episode would have appeared on the streaming service in the morning before the new episode airs on TLC.
Below, you can see that discovery+ only shows Seasons 1 through 4 as available to stream on-demand.
It’s likely that it will follow the same timeline as Sister Wives, which would mean the new episodes are available to stream around the same time they air on TLC. In this case, WTP would hit discovery+ at 10/9c tonight. But since it’s the first episode of the new season, that’s only speculation.
Fans are hopeful that discovery+ will bring back the early release schedule in the future.
