‘Live’ Kelly Ripa Makes Changes To Talk Show Amid Backlash
Live with Kelly and Mark host, Kelly Ripa has made more changes to her talk show since Ryan Seacrest left and her husband, Mark Consuelos joined her. Fans are still getting used to Mark and people seldom like change. So, what does she have in mind for ABC viewers? Read on to find out.
Kelly Ripa Changes The Trivia Game
Mark loves the trivia game which is a segment in the show where the audience can participate. Usually, that sort of thing is very popular. However, Mark received some backlash. Those who call in can win a Live! mug if they cannot correctly guess a true or false answer to a statement made by the caller. Mark is highly competitive, and some fans don’t like that. Mind you, some people who call in seem to enjoy the interaction with the two stars.
Kelly Ripa and Ryan used to give the mugs away when they felt like it. However, with the arrival of Mark, he decided that freebies were too generous. So, he felt that people should work for their mugs. Therefore, he decided that people should rather try and “stump” him. In fact, his wife believes that many viewers stay until the end of the show because they hope to see her husband lose in the trivia game segment. Now, the news arrived that fans of the talk show can expect a big change to it.

Live Kelly Ripa Did Not Change The Format
The Sun reported that the same format of the trivia series continues as it did since it started. However, the segment’s name will now change to “Stump Mark.” Obviously, it’s too early to know if that keeps more people watching until the end of the show. In fact, it might even get more backlash because sometimes, it seems that Mark will do anything to prevent the callers from winning.
Kelly Ripa was rumored to be considering retirement from Live with Kelly and Mark. Actually, her frequent absence from the show really made people think that she was having a rethink about her career. Of course, that meant more pre-recorded shows and more guest hosts. In fact, many people hated that. However, it seems that she’s been busy planning for the new season that premieres in September.
