‘My 600-Lb Life’ Lacey Buckingham’s Ex Ricky’s Sister Dead
One memorable person from Lacey Buckingham’s episode on My 600-Lb Life has sadly passed away.
Sharon Gilmore, also known as Sharon Belgarde, was widely remembered for kicking Lacey out of her car and leaving her on the side of the road. Lacey was engaged to Sharon’s brother Ricky at the time.
Although Sharon has kept a pretty low profile since the episode aired, few My 600-Lb Life viewers will forget her role in the episode.

Lacey Buckingham and Sharon had a massive falling out
When Lacey Buckingham’s episode began, her partner Ricky was eager to help her navigate the world. The pair reportedly met online and quickly fell in love. However, Ricky’s sister Sharon grew suspicious of Lacey over time.
Sharon felt that Lacey was taking advantage of her brother’s kindness. The situation only escalated once the three made the trip to Texas to see Dr. Now.
On the journey, Sharon and Ricky discovered that Lacey hadn’t been completely honest with them. They didn’t feel that she was committed to making changes in her life and had taken advantage of them. After an explosive argument, Lacey called the police on Sharon and Ricky. In turn, they left her on the side of the road.
When Lacey Buckingham’s episode ended, she still hadn’t qualified for bariatric surgery. However, she still keeps a public Facebook profile so she can interact with her fans.
It doesn’t appear that Lacey had much to do with Sharon after their onscreen blowout. Sharon went back to her two daughters and carried on with life as normal.
This week, Sharon’s mother confirmed that her daughter tragically passed away.
Sharon’s mother shares her cause of death
Aside from Ricky, Sharon had a family that loved and adored her. Although her obituary is not yet available, Facebook details indicate that she had two young daughters at home.
“My heart is [chattered] with the loss of my daughter Sharon,” Sharon’s mother shared on Facebook. “She leaves us so soon.”
Several friends and family members left their sympathies in the comments.
“She had pneumonia and just stopped breathing,” Sharon’s mother updated everyone in a public Facebook comment. “She had been smoking and her lungs just couldn’t take it.”
Many Facebook users expressed their shock and disbelief.
“It hurts more than I can even explain,” Sharon’s mother shared in another comment. “She was way too young to have lost her life like this.”
