According to the synopsis, Erin Allen is a single mom with a 12-year-old daughter who is obsessed with football. Kiera (Sophia Powers) plays flag football.
Surprisingly, at Kiera’s game, she happens to run into her coach Jimmy (Dan Payne), and his professional football brother, Mike. Turns out, Erin and Mike know each other well. The two were college sweethearts.
Why isn’t Mike with his professional team now? Unfortunately, he suffered a serious injury. What is worse, is this injury could end his career and his longtime dream of winning a championship ring. Most of all, Erin knows that this was the dream he had when they were together. Subsequently, this was the reason for their split.
Although Mike’s career has stalled, Jimmy just got a big promotion. He is coaching the high school football team. Therefore, Mike is recruited to coach the flag football team. Now, Erin is hesitant to hang out with Mike. She wants to protect her heart. But, the more she tries to avoid him, the more she is roped in by circumstances. Besides, their old flame is reignited.
Right before the championship game, Mike receives good news but also an unsettling truth while Erin learns to go after what she wants–and they both learn to follow their hearts.
