‘Big Brother: After Dark’ Update, Is The Spinoff Returning?
Big Brother 25 premiered tonight, leaving fans on the edge of their seats at the end of the episode. However, before Season 21 of the show, the fun didn’t have to stop when the episode ended. Instead, fans could tune in to Big Brother: After Dark and watch what the houseguests were up to without all the editing. Now that the premiere has aired on the east coast, many are wondering if BBAD will return. Keep reading to find out what we know so far.
Is Big Brother: After Dark returning?
For the last few seasons of Big Brother, there has been Big Brother: After Dark hopefuls waiting for the spinoff show to return. Even before the show premiered tonight, some claimed to know that the hit show, Big Brother: After Dark was definitely coming back. In fact, one spoiler account on Twitter even shared a tweet reading “They plan to bring back BBAD or what many of you may know as Big Brother After Dark this season.”
Of course, there were a few problems with this show including the fact that the content was unedited and there was no telling what the houseguests would do. While overall, the content of the show makes it hard to air on CBS, the show could always return to its previous home on Pop TV. Additionally, some think that it makes sense that they would want to bring it back with the current writer’s strike.
However, unfortunately for the BBAD hopefuls, Julie Chen Moonves made no mention of the show returning tonight during the premiere. Instead, she just let fans know that the live feeds would begin tonight at 9:30 PST. Luckily for fans though, BBAD isn’t the only way to spy on the houseguests.

Where else to catch a glimpse behind the scenes
Of course, Big Brother didn’t do away with watching the houseguests when the cameras aren’t rolling completely. Instead, they just switched to only showing live feeds. In past seasons, this has meant that users could subscribe to watch the feeds and catch on to the houseguest’s plans before they unraveled during the episode.
This season though, things are changing again, but maybe for the better. Previously, the feeds were only available on streaming platforms where viewers had to pay to watch. However, this season, the live feeds will also be available on Pluto TV. Pluto TV is a free streaming service, meaning that no one will have to pay to watch live feeds anymore.
While this still doesn’t entirely make up for missing Big Brother: After Dark, it does give fans more opportunities to spy on the houseguests at any time of day or night.
