“Scott Snyder has been a remarkable camera operator with ABC for 44 years. Tomorrow he is retiring. We’ve been blessed that most of his time has been with GMA,” she starts her captivating caption.

She then goes on to rave about just how great of a person Scott was. It seems he will truly leave a hole in the GMA family’s heart.

“Scott’s professionalism, warm smile, and engaging personality have certainly added to the GMA family. We’re going to miss Scott and know he’s looking forward to spending more time now with his beautiful wife & 6 grandchildren! You know he’s special because who else could get George to photobomb you! Love you Scott.❤️,” she finishes.

A photo to match

Of course, no heartfelt caption like this would be complete without a photo to match. Robin posted a photo of herself and Scott standing together in the studio. Robin has her hands folded and resting on Scott’s shoulder as she stares at him dreamily with a massive smile on her face. Meanwhile, Scott has his arm around Robin’s waist as he smiles at the camera.

Of course, as Robin noted in the caption, there does seem to be a photo bomber in the background, as George Stephanopoulos tries to jump into the sweet shot.

Of course, fans jumped into Robin’s comments to leave a lot of love for the retiring cameraman. Most were shocked at the remarkable 44-year time stamp, especially considering how young he looks.

  • “How could he have worked 44 years?!! He looks about 44.”
  • “Congratulations, Scott! Have a happy and healthy retirement ♥️”
  • “Wow. He must have started when he was 15. He don’t look old enough to have been there 44 years. ❤️”
  • “Scott’s so pretty he should be on the other side of the camera! ☺️”

Only time will tell who will take Scott’s place behind the camera. Hopefully, the next person in the role is just as remarkable!

  1. Robin Roberts shares an emotional good bye, I had a smile when I was reading this line. Unfortunately it wasn”t Robin saying good bye to GMA. I think Robin and Michael Strahan have lost their sparkk on GMA. they have both become very boring. Michael is very, very boring with out Robin, well I have changed to NBC. I had lost initerest in the 2 , so after watching GMA for 20+ years good bye Gma.
You should take a closer look and see what I’m talking about. BORING, BORING, BORING

  2. Shame on you OConnor! How could you say such negative things. Who is your boss? Let me know, I would love to give him a call.
