Kevin Costner Just Wants His $145 Million Santa Barbara Compound Empty

Since early May, Kevin Costner has been trying to get his soon-to-be-ex-wife Christine Baumgartner out of their $145 million house. Firstly, this is part of the prenup agreement that she signed 18 years ago before their star-studded Aspen wedding.

Second, this is no ordinary home. Located in Santa Barbara, this cliff-side compound dramatically overlooks the Pacific Ocean. This luxurious compound is complete with two separate guest houses. Don’t forget, just down the street he also has a water-front property Kevin mortgaged out. He risked a high-priced parcel of ocean-front land to help pay for his four-film passion project Horizon.

According to Radar Online, Christine Costner is willing to move out. But first, the 69-year-old star has to pay her more child support to give their three children, Cayden Wyatt, 16, Hayes Logan, 14, and Grace Avery, 13, a stable home.

Before they married, Christine signed a prenup. Kevin had cold feet before proposing to his second wife.  He had paid out one of the highest Hollywood divorce settlements when he and his first wife Cindy Silva divorced. Worst of all, he did not have a place to call home.

He had the handbag designer sign a prenup that required her to vacate the home within 30 days of filing for divorce. But she has not moved yet. Instead, she is waiting for the courts to hear her case. Although she signed a prenup, that was before they had children.

Costner Family Going To Court In July

Kevin Costner and Christine Costner are headed to court on July 12. While in court, the judge will determine the fee orders and monthly support figures that Kevin needs to pay out. However, the couple has totally different monthly amounts in mind.

While Kevin has offered $30k per month to satisfy support his three youngest children, he has also given Christine $10k to move.

Christine Baumgartner Costner had a dramatically different figure in mind. She has asked for $248k per month to support their three children in the manner to which they are accustomed. But, this does not include private school tuition, health care, and extracurricular activities such as sports, cheerleading, or woodworking. That could dramatically increase that monthly bottom line.

Kevin Costner’s Ex-Wife Will Leave Home On One Condition

The news is that Kevin Costner’s ex, Christine Costner, will move out by August 31, after the court makes a final decision on support. Sources say that she does not want to disrupt the lives of their three children by moving several times. This will give her 7 weeks to move from their current home.

Christine states that “My goal has been and continues to be maintaining as much stability for our children as possible, which includes having the proper resources and plan in place so that can establish a stable home for them, rather than making temporary and inconsistent housing arrangements.”

This is especially important as she has stated that she does not make any income. They have relied solely on Kevin’s income, which was about $20 million in 2022.

That means Kevin could get his fabulous Santa Barbara abode back, but it may cost him a lot of money to set up his family in a similar style.

Do you think that Christine Costner is asking for a fair amount of money to support her children with Kevin Costner? Please share your thoughts below.
