Westboro Baptist Church Set To Attend Taylor Swift Concert
Westboro Baptist Church has been a hater of Taylor Swift for more than 10 years. There are not many people too fond of this group and Swifties are not happy. There are not expected to be any physical altercations provoked by the church, but they definitely will let you hear their opinions. How do you think their appearance at the Era’s Tour is going to go over?
Taylor Swift Accomplishing Big Things
The 33-year-old performer has quickly become one of if not the most popular artists in the country. Taylor wraps up her tour in early August before starting her international dates in 2024. The Era’s Tour has become Swiftie’s version of the Met Gala. They get to dress up and portray different eras throughout Swift’s music career. Since Scooter Braun bought Taylor’s music for $3 million, Swift has been rerecording her albums so she feels as if they are hers again. The singer will be releasing her third rerecorded album Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) on July 7. That happens to be the same day she is opening up her weekend in Kansas City, Missouri. However, to put a damper on the fans’ amazing night, Westboro Baptist Church has decided to preach their feelings outside of Arrowhead Stadium.
Westboro Baptist Preaching Negativity
Westboro Baptist Church does not preach its beliefs in a positive uplifting way. The group uses extremely hateful language that is very offensive to most people. The group created a flyer to promote their appearance at the concert on July 7 and 8. In this flyer, they use extremely derogatory language toward Swift. The church even referenced how Swift’s song “You Need To Calm Down” was about them. They also have it posted on their schedule located on their website. Westboro Baptist Church plans to be outside the stadium from 4:45 pm to 7 pm both nights.
Waking up to a hateful message from the Westboro Baptist Church feels like such a throwback.
And like, have they learned nothing from that Taylor Swift song?

Fans native to the home of the church in Topeka Kansas and ones who are just very familiar with the church, jump to warn other fans about what they will be doing. Swifties inform others to just walk by and ignore the group. Fans explain how if you just walk by and do not acknowledge them, it will not progress into anything more. They also plead how fans need to be very aware of their surroundings with the whole situation.
If you are attending either show in Kansas City, be aware of your surroundings and do not engage with the group as that will only give them what they want.
Hopefully, things do not get too out of hand in Kansas City on July 7 and 8. Swifties are going to have to ignore the religious group and let things roll off their chest otherwise the outcome may not be very good. Will you be attending the Eras Tour in Kansas City? I disagree that the best response is to ignore them. In my experience, the best response is to frustrate them by being louder and more exuberant. Wave rainbow flags. Shake tambourines. Dance and make out in front of them. These people take themselves way too seriously. Show them and the world that they are mere nuisances who are not to be taken seriously.
