‘Live’ Teases Changes, Kelly & Mark Replaced?
Is Live giving Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos the boot?
The series recently announced that new A-listers would be taking over for the dynamic couple for the summer. Hosting changes happen on talk shows happen all the time. However, Live already had one major casting change this year when Mark Consuelos took over for Ryan Seacrest. Many fans believe that it could be a little too soon for a major rehaul.
So what’s going on with Kelly and Mark? Are they coming back? And who will fill in for them in the meantime?

Ryan Seacrest and other celebrity guests take over Live for the summer
Fans that miss Live with Kelly and Ryan are definitely in for a treat. Although Ryan Seacrest is scheduled to take a brand-new role soon, he’s also revisiting the Live set temporarily.
As TV Shows Ace previously noted, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are taking some time off to rest and enjoy the summer with their family. However, they did manage to pre-record some segments.
“The current episodes are pre-taped, but features new footage, and even says the day’s accurate date,” The Sun shared.
So for the time being, it does not appear that Live has decided to part ways with the couple.
Entertainment Weekly shares that stars such as Anderson Cooper, Andy Cohen, and Maria Menounos will also host Live while Mark and Kelly are away. EW confirmed that Kelly will be back for the Fourth of July episode which will feature appearances from Jake Shears, Nina Dobrev, and plenty of holiday-themed fun and games.
Mark Consuelos recently defended the choice to pre-record episodes as a chance to give the cast and crew a break. However, plenty of fans feel irritated about the pre-taped episodes. Complaints online go back as far as April 2023.

By all accounts, it seems that the hosting shake-up is just temporary so Mark and Kelly can enjoy some time away. But fans have made it pretty clear they’re fed up with the pre-recorded episodes.
If viewer satisfaction remains low, the show could rethink Mark and Kelly’s place on the set.

While Live fans long for actual live episodes, Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa are really enjoying their time away.
The Live hostess revealed that they went to the beach when a strange woman started gawking at Mark and snapping his photo. It ended up being a joke post, as fans quickly realized that Kelly was the “strange woman” in question.
Hopefully, they get the rest and relaxation they need so they can go back to producing more live episodes.
