Now that the 1000-Lb Sisters star received bariatric surgery and is moving on with life, many viewers think that she might catch up to Amy. To push things a bit further, some viewers think that she’s already plowed past her little sister.

When 1000-Lb Sisters Season 1 premiered, Amy quickly achieved her goal weight and qualified for bariatric surgery. Tammy wouldn’t get there until Season 4.
After receiving surgery, Amy definitely struggled to keep the weight off. She gave birth twice and also struggled to maintain a healthy diet. Meanwhile, Tammy received the counseling and support she needed in rehab to achieve her goal weight.
Now, many fans think that Tammy Slaton could very well be smaller than Amy Halterman.
“Does anyone else think Tammy is smaller than Amy now?” a Reddit user asked online this week. “I mean, I don’t know how much she weighs, but Amy looks stalled while Tammy is starting to look even smaller. What do y’all think? Also, I didn’t realize how short Tammy is. She’s tiny.”
Long-time fans know that sibling rivalry really drives the sisters. Once Tammy received surgery, several viewers think Amy started working harder toward her goals.
“Amy only started losing weight again once Tammy got her surgery,” another Redditor added. “I think she always told herself she was all right as long as she was smaller than Tammy. Once Tammy started losing, she got busy.”
Other users pointed out that Tammy still hasn’t received skin removal surgery. Once that happens, she very well could weigh less than Amy. But at the end of the day, most Redditors were relieved that all the siblings seem to be headed in the right direction.

Many 1000-Lb Sisters fans were impressed that Tammy no longer needs her wheelchair or oxygen to comfortably get around. Recently, some followers speculated that Tammy could even get a job if she wanted to now.
If the sisters really feel like they’re competing against one another, they don’t show it to the public. Amy recently shared that the women attended a concert together.
Hopefully, fans will get the inside scoop on the sisters’ current status if 1000-Lb Sisters returns to TLC for Season 5.
