Tom Schwartz ‘Needed A Break From Reality,’ So He Went To Mars
Tom Schwartz of Vanderpump Rules is admitting that he “needed a break from reality” so he went to Mars or at least something similar to Mars. Tom is part of a new reality show called Stars On Mars.
What Is Stars On Mars?
Stars On Mars is a new reality show on Fox that puts celebrities in a location where the conditions are said to be “authentic conditions that simulate life on Mars.” Of course, they didn’t actually go to Mars, but it is supposed to be similar. You can check out the preview below.
The celebrities will “live, eat, sleep, strategize and bond with each other.” Tom is just one of 13 celebrities that are on the show. It will be hosted by Star Trek actor William Shatner.
Tom Schwartz Talks Joining Show
People shared a preview with Tom Schwartz where he talks about joining the show. He enters in a full spacesuit. Then he says, “So I chose to do this little Stars on Mars experiment [because] maybe ironically, I needed a break from reality, specifically my reality.” Tom is talking about Scandoval and everything that went on with his Vanderpump Rules co-stars.
Schwartz explained what his show is saying, “Our show is actually kind of a derivative of The Housewives. It’s Vanderpump Rules. It’s like people work and have sex with each other.” Contestant Christopher Mintz-Plasse replied that they aren’t going to be doing that on this show.

What Is Tom’s Reality He Needs To Escape?
Tom Schwartz’s best friend Tom Sandoval had an affair with Raquel Leviss. They were all good friends and it upset the entire cast of Vanderpump Rules. It turns out that Tom Schwartz knew about it for a long time before it was revealed to Sandoval’s girlfriend Ariana Madix. Schwartz kept that secret for him and a lot of the cast is upset with him over this.
On the show Vanderpump Rules it isn’t just a normal show cast. This group is actually friends who have known each other for years and hang out even when the cameras aren’t rolling. Tom Schwartz also recently went through a divorce from Katie Maloney. It sounds like he did need a nice break from his reality and hopefully Stars On Mars did that for him.
