Plenty of TLC fans love watching Shauna and her family onscreen, but many have questions about her condition. For example, will it cut her life expectancy short?

She recently decided to publically address the topic after receiving a question from a fan.

“Does your disability affect your age expectancy? I hope not I really enjoy you,” one follower asked the TLC star. It’s an uncomfortable question, but Shauna did her best to answer.

“I’m not sure exactly what to say to this but this is the information that I have. Hope it helps,” she captioned a TikTok addressing the question.

She said that she didn’t think that pituitary dwarfism would impact her life expectancy. However, Shauna did admit there are still many unknowns about her condition.

The TLC star said that in all honesty, the effects of her cancer would be more likely to impact her life expectancy than pituitary dwarfism.  So far, Shauna seems to be in great health and quipped that she could even live to see 100.

“A lot of people when they go to hug me, or say hi to me, they pick me up … you don’t need to do all that,” Shauna told her TikTok audience. “That’s — it’s a lot of work. And honestly, it’s one of the reasons why I don’t like hugs as well. Because a lot of people pick me up with hugs.”
