‘GMA:’ Robin Roberts Missing After Wild Weekend With Taylor Swift

Robin Roberts was missing from the Memorial Day broadcast of Good Morning America after enjoying a wild weekend with Taylor Swift. What did the GMA host do with Taylor Swift exactly? Keep reading for all the juicy details.

GMA: Robin Roberts Missing After Wild Weekend With Taylor Swift

Robin Roberts enjoyed a wild weekend attending Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour. While it is unclear as to whether she spent Monday recovering from her wild weekend or if she was enjoying Memorial Day with family, Robin was missing from her news desk today. Instead, the network roped Linsey Davis in to sit at her desk in her absence. As an anchor for ABC News Live Prime, it is not uncommon for Linsey to step in as a substitute anchor on Good Morning America. 

Robin Roberts wasn’t the only GMA anchor missing today. George Stephanopoulos was also absent with Mary Bruce as his fill-in.

Michael Strahan, however, was in the studio for business as usual.

With it being Memorial Day, it wasn’t too much of a surprise for viewers at home that so many of the co-hosts were missing from the studio.

Viewers, however, noticed Robin Roberts was also missing from Friday’s broadcast of Good Morning America.

She Ran Into An A-List Celebrity

Now, Robin Roberts did take to her Instagram to tell her 844K followers she was at a Taylor Swift concert. Turns out, her wild weekend didn’t just include Taylor Swift. While she was there, she ran into an A-list celebrity. While at the Metlife Stadium Robin ran into none other than Law and Order: SVU star Mariska Hargitay a.k.a. Olivia Benson. Robin excitedly snapped a photo of herself with Mariska as she gushed in the caption of her post about finally having the opportunity to meet the incredible actress.

Huge bonus was finally meeting this dynamic, talented woman @therealmariskahargitay. Have admired her for years! I’m not the only one who feels that way. Swifties know that Taylor named one of her beloved cats after Mariska’s character on #SVU Olivia Benson!

Robin also included in her caption that everything about the Taylor Swift concert she enjoyed over the weekend was “incredible” and “spectacular.”

The GMA anchor was all smiles as she posed for a selfie with Mariska in the photo she attached to the post with her update about the concert.

While GMA viewers were bummed to miss her on the show again, they were glad she got away from the studio and enjoyed a little fun.
