What do we know about this new Hallmark June Weddings movie? According to the Hallmark synopsis, Rebecca and Adam are now engaged. Although they were dating for a while, they never really discussed some important fundamentals.
Now, as they begin to plan their wedding and their happily ever after life, the two realize that they are not very much alike at the core. They have “different values and beliefs.”
Firstly, Rebecca’s priority is home life and the family. As for Adam, he is career-oriented. The groom-to-be will forego any family events if he is needed at work for any reason.
In addition, Rebecca is well-versed in Jewish traditions. Most of all, she wants to continue to keep these traditions after she marries. She is close to her rabbi. In addition, Rebecca is involved with her synagogue. On the other hand, Adam is not so familiar with these traditions and is not involved with any particular synagogue.
Does Rebecca Have Second Thoughts About Marrying Adam?
Rebecca begins to think that this marriage will never happen when Adam tells her he is up for a promotion in Los Angeles. This job would be for a coveted vice president position. As prosperous as this sounds, Rebecca balks at this move. A move to the west coast would mean that she would be far from her spiritual family, as well as her actual family.
Things reach a crescendo when Adam becomes too preoccupied with his job. He doesn’t take the time to prepare for their wedding. Rebecca sees this as a glimpse into their married life. She is concerned that when they marry, they will be living separate lives. She is ready to cancel it all.
However, Rebecca and Adam’s mothers have different plans. They want to see their children happily married. They believe the couple needs a small nudge to see how much they love each other. Moreover, they want them to understand that they have more in common than they currently realize.
