Tom Bergeron Spends Anniversary In Hospital — What Happened?
Tom Bergeron was excited to spend another anniversary with his wife, but the occasion ended up with a trip to the hospital.
At this point, there are still more questions than answers about the incident. However, it’s pretty obvious to Tom’s fans that he would have liked to spend his anniversary any other way.
So what exactly has the long-time TV host had to say about his hospital visit so far? Keep reading to get the scoop.
Tom Bergeron hints that his wedding anniversary date went very wrong
Tom Bergeron married his wife Lois in 1982. They’ve spent 41 years together and have overcome their share of challenges, but worked through them together.
Today, Tom and Lois are still happy, in love, and have two daughters together. Jessica was born in 1988 and Samantha was born in 1990.
But all the love in the world apparently couldn’t prevent Tom’s hospital visit.
“We spent our 41st anniversary yesterday at the @santaynez Hospital (great staff, btw) with yours truly being treated for food poisoning & a bruised rib (it’s a long story 🤦🏻😏),” the television personality captioned his Instagram post. “Home & resting now & reminded again of how lucky I am that, 41 years ago, she said, ‘I do.'”
Tom attached a sweet photo of his wedding day to Lois all those decades ago. He did not elaborate on what caused the bruised rib, but hopefully will in time.
“Happy Anniversary!! Rib, huh? I know what *that* feels like. 😉 Speedy recovery to you!! ❤️” actress Danica McKellar wrote in the comments.
“Ah man! Hope you feel better! And can’t wait to hear that story. Lol. ❤️🩹” another fan added.
Other followers poured their well-wishes in the comments. The good news is that it seems like Tom Bergeron will make a full recovery. But his fans hope that he will be a little more careful in the future.
Fans long for the TV personality’s return to DWTS
Although Dancing With The Stars parted ways with Tom Bergeron several seasons ago, many fans still aren’t over it. When Tyra Banks announced her surprise departure ahead of Season 32, viewers hoped DWTS would bring Tom back.
However, the reunion wasn’t meant to be. Dancing With The Stars producers offered the hosting role to Julianne Hough instead and she accepted.
Several DWTS viewers were upset by the move, while others admitted that Julianne would make an excellent hostess. Tom Bergeron seemed to genuinely love and appreciate his time on the show, but he’s moved on to other projects.
Hopefully, his hospital visit won’t disrupt any of his projects too much. Until Tom Bergeron reveals more, fans will have to wait and see what happens next.
