Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird Shares ‘Bittersweet’ Family Moment

Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird is sharing a”bittersweet” family moment with her followers. The mother of four has been through a lot in the last year. She not only gained sole custody of her younger sister, Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson. Plus, she added two more babies to her family after having her son less than a year prior. Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird Shares ‘Bittersweet’ Family Moment

It has not been an easy time for Pumpkin as she navigates raising a teenager and four young children. Finances are tough and she barely gets enough child support from Mama June to help with Alana. Plus, her eldest sister, Anna ‘Chickadee’ Cardwell has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Therefore, the majority of the family has been rallying together to help out. Despite their differences, Pumpkin and June have put their differences aside. They even were together to watch Alana head off to prom and now, she is a high school graduate. Yet, one moment really caught Pumpkin off-guard in her life.

In an Instagram post, Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird shared that her eldest child had graduated Pre-K. Ella Grace is now five years old and so much fun to watch. Yet, her mama cannot believe how fast the time has gone. “Today was so bittersweet for me. My oldest baby graduated prek today 🥹. I was crying way before the program could get started. You’ve learned so much this year and created so many new friends (which I hear about each & everyday).” She continued to praise Ella’s teachers and talk about how next up was summer break. Following her time off, Ella would be headed to kindergarten.

Fans were quick to react to this milestone though they were baffled by the outfits that the children wore. They were donning hard hats, safety vests, and jeans/tutus. “Love the outfits. Why did they choose them? Significance?” one asked. Another added: “My oldest graduates 5th grade in couple weeks and I’m not definitely not ready.” Finally, one chimed in with this: “Awww! She’s grown so quickly! I love her unabashed no filter mouth! 🌸✌️💜.”

What’s Next?

Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird has her hands full with celebrations right now. She has Ella graduating Pre-K and Alana graduating high school so these are really big deals. However, in the current season of Family Crisis, Pumpkin is dealing with Mama June and her vow renewal. This is a lot to take in but the family has to come together for the big event. Mama June will make it happen.
