Susie Evans Admits To Being Frontrunner For ‘Bachelorette’
The Bachelor alum Susie Evans admits that she was in talks to be The Bachelorette. Fans fell in love with Susie during her time on Clayton Echard’s season of the show. Many have wanted to see her try to find love again on the Bachelor franchise, perhaps Bachelor in Paradise. Nobody thought she’d be the lead although many hoped she’d at least consider it. However, while that seemed pretty far-fetched, it now seems Susie was in talks for the role. What happened? Keep reading to find out more.
Susie Evans was in talks to be The Bachelorette
Fan favorite Susie Evans was recently on the She’s All Bach podcast and spilled some tea about the franchise. One of those admissions was that producers for The Bachelorette did contact her at the beginning of the year to discuss her potentially being the lead.
Susie said it was a shocker to her because she hadn’t heard from the show at all previously until that point. She even pointed out that she and Clayton were never invited to events as a couple. She was never asked directly after The Bachelor if she was interested in taking on the role. So, when they reached out to begin talks to be The Bachelorette at the beginning of 2023 she was blown away.
Susie revealed that she was being realistic and knows that production talks to many different women for the role. They have to have several women lined up and on the back burner in case something falls through.
While she didn’t flat out say she was a finalist she hinted at it and noted that some women are led to believe they are getting the role then don’t. So, instead of fans seeing Susie Evans as the 2023 Bachelorette, Charity Lawson was ultimately cast.
It seems had they chosen her, Susie would have been all in and accepted the opportunity.
Will she do Bachelor in Paradise?
Never say never right? Susie Evans admitted that she would consider going on Bachelor in Paradise. She revealed that production also reached out to her about the upcoming Season 9. However, while she is interested in looking for love she has scheduling conflicts that are preventing her from going to Mexico.
Susie shared she has a wedding to film in Hawaii already booked. She planned a vacation around the event as well.
So, since she can’t see herself going on the season late and perhaps ruining other relationships that are already formed, chances are she won’t be on the Mexico beaches this summer.
