Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets Trailer Released

As TV Shows Ace reported, the trailer is now public ahead of the docuseries’ June 2 release date. It focuses on the Duggar family’s involvement in the Institute in Basic Life Principles (IBLP). The trailer teases deception and domination and also highlights predators within the religious group.

In the preview, viewers hear from several people who were formerly involved in the IBLP or who are closely connected to it. However, fans were in for a shock when a few members of the Duggar family appeared.

Are Jill Dillard & Amy King Exposing Duggars?

In the trailer, Derick and Jill Dillard and Amy King all make appearances. In one clip, Jill and Derick are seated on a couch being interviewed. Jill was visibly pregnant at the time of filming and gave birth to her third child in July 2022, so it was likely filmed last spring or summer.

In the trailer, a producer thanks Derick and Jill Dillard for agreeing to be interviewed. In response, the Duggar daughter says, “There’s a story that’s going to be told. And I would rather be the one telling it.”

Then, Jill reveals just how important the group was and still is to some parts of her family. She says, “We were part of IBLP as early as I can remember.”

Duggar fans will have to wait and see what Jill and Amy reveal in the series when it drops on June 2. It’s unclear what the Duggar daughter and cousin will say and if they will expose the family or focus more on the harmful teachings of the IBLP.
