Carlin Bates Suffers Injury: What Happened?
Bringing Up Bates star Carlin Bates Stewart has suffered an injury, and now, she’s sharing the details with fans. Unfortunately, she needed to take a trip to the hospital to get some help. What happened to her? And how is she doing now? Keep reading to get all of the details about this situation.
Carlin Bates has had a rough year health-wise.
If you follow Carlin and her husband, Evan Stewart, on Instagram or YouTube, you may know about her health issues. Unfortunately, she’s been having seizure-like episodes for the past year and has undergone a series of tests with no real answers. She’s currently on medication, which seems to be reducing the number of seizures she has. But she doesn’t have a diagnosis and can’t live her life like she once did.
Now, she’s dealing with another medical issue.

In her latest YouTube video, which was released Saturday, Carlin mentioned that she had hurt her big toe. She stubbed it when she was going upstairs. Evan heard her scream and went running to check on her, thinking it was pretty serious. She didn’t seek medical attention because there’s not typically much that can be done for broken or fractured toes.
On her Instagram Stories this week, the Bringing Up Bates star offered an update on her injury. She revealed that it’s gotten worse, unfortunately. She said that several people stepped on it at a Mother’s Day gathering this past weekend. Plus, one of her sisters accidentally ran over it with a scooter. Then, when she was filming a video for the Bates Sisters Boutique Instagram or TikTok, she injured her toe once again. She said she “did something dumb” and posted a photo of herself icing her toe.
She ended up going to the hospital to get it checked out because it was hurting so badly and affecting how she walked. It turns out that she did break her toe. So, she is now wearing a boot to keep it from getting worse and to help it heal.
