Savannah Chrisley Pauses Parenthood, Needed Bahama Recharge
Savannah Chrisley admitted on a recent episode of her podcast that she had to push pause on her parenthood duties and jet off to the Bahamas for a much-needed recharge. At 25 years old, Savannah Chrisley was forced to grow up overnight when her parents landed behind bars and she became the temporary mother of Grayson and Chloe.
While Savannah has said on several occasions she is incapable of filling her mother’s shoes and doesn’t want to be considered Chloe and Grayson’s mother, she is doing what she can to be the best caretaker possible.
It was a rough learning curve
Unfortunately, being a parent is a lot of hard work. And, Savannah got tossed into the game without a lot of experience. For most parents, they grow and learn with their children. Likewise, there is a growing and learning phase when ap arent goes from having one child to two children.
For Savannah, she became the “parent” of two older children overnight. And, navigating that was a real battle as she was no longer just responsible for herself and her own well-being now. She had two young people that relied on her for everything.
The learning curve has been so rough for Savannah, that she admits she isn’t sure if she actually wants to have children. Stepping in to take care of Chloe and Grayson seems to have squeezed all the baby fever out of her.
Savannah Chrisley pushed pause for Bahama recharge
During a recent podcast, Savannah Chrisley admitted she took off to the Bahamas for a weekend recently. She referred to it as a “48-hour recharge.” She added that 48 hours was the length of time she was able to be away from her duties as caretaker before she started to feel guilty for putting the responsibility off on someone else. But, she needed the recharge so she could continue to be the best caregiver she could to Chloe and Grayson.
Unfortunately, Savannah Chrisley did get a fair amount of heat for getting off to the Bahamas. Some fans thought it was a bit tone deaf and most parents couldn’t just drop everything and recharge when they need a break from their children.
Chloe Chrisley, however, was safe with Chase and Emmy for the weekend while Savannah got the recharge she needed.
