Jacklyn Zeman’s Last ‘GH’ Episode Leaves Fans Wanting More
General Hospital fans are still mourning the loss of a soap opera legend. Actress Jacklyn Zeman passed away at the age of 70. The actress, who was best known for her role as Bobbie Spencer on the hit ABC soap, died unexpectedly on May 10th. Of course, both her General Hospital co-stars and fans say that she was gone way too soon. Jacklyn’s death has also left fans wanting more. Here’s why.
Jacklyn Zeman’s Last General Hospital Episode Leaves Fans Wanting More
Jacklyn Zeman was part of the General Hospital family for over four decades. Many of her fans believe that she still played an important role in the show. Unfortunately, they won’t be seeing more of her on the small screen. That’s because her last episode has already aired. Jacklyn Zeman has starred in over 800 episodes as Bobbie Spencer on General Hospital. For fans to see her again, they’ll have to watch the repeats. According to TV Line, Jaclyn’s last episode aired on April 27th. Bobbie Spencer was there to witness her grandson Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) get married to Willow Tate (Katelynn MacMullen). Along with her daughter Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), she was there for all of the festivities.
However, there’s a possibility that the producers of General Hospital might plan a tribute episode for Jacklyn Zeman. Yet, because of the current writer’s strike in Hollywood, there’s no knowing when that episode will air. Though seeing how Jacklyn played such an integral part in the show, there’s no doubt that the writing team will dedicate an episode for her that will bring back a lot of Port Charles memories. It’s only a matter of time before that will happen.
General Hospital Felt Like A Second Family For Jacklyn Zeman
Back in 2022, Jacklyn told Soap Opera Digest in an interview that she always loved being a part of the General Hospital cast. She explained that being a part of the show meant more than just a job to her. Calling her General Hospital co-stars her family, Jacklyn said they’ve always been there for her from the beginning. She noted, “These people made baby blankets for my daughters when they were born! We have so much history. And same with the fans; when I go to events, I see a lot of the same people over and over again and we’ve grown together over these 45 years.”
Jacklyn’s fans loved her just as much. Some have taken to Twitter to write, “How does one begin to sum up the force of nature that was multi-Emmy nominated actress Jacklyn Zeman? It’s simply not possible.” Another fan added, “She was a trailblazer and at the center of so many iconic General Hospital moments as Bobbie Spencer. As great of an actress she was, she was a greater person.”
