Tori Spelling is facing a difficult situation. She and her family are realizing that their recent sicknesses and hospitalizations are most likely caused by mold in their house. The effects are becoming more and more apparent for the family. They have been in a revolving door of sickness, brief wellness, and return to sickness over and over.

Tori Spelling Revealed Their Underlying Issue On Social Media

Tori Spelling tweeted on Twitter on May 10th from Urgent Care an update to fans that informed them about the problem in the home they are facing. She was very candid about how she had accepted that with kids the frequent sickness must just come with the territory.  Although, she didn’t realize until this time that it was rooted in mold in the home.

Identifying The Symptoms Of Mold Infection

Furthermore, when her youngest children that are 10 and 6 were so sick that they were sleeping all day she began to get concerned. Even more, they also started to tell her they felt dizzy. Tori Spelling knew something bigger was going on. At that point, she immediately called in a mold inspector.  Continuing the search, Sean at Pacific Scope Inspections discovered extreme mold in the home. Additionally, Tori Spelling spoke about what it is like to go through mold infection. She said, “You just keep getting sick, one infection after another. Respiratory infections. Extreme allergy like symptoms too and like my poor Finn skin rashes as well.”

Tori Spelling’s Family Illnesses

After setting in Urgent Care, everyone got swabbed. As a result, Finn tested positive for Strep throat and had a high fever of 103. Sadly, the house was labeled a health hazard and they had to evacuate because it was considered non-liveable. Continuing, Tori Spelling shared that it has been hard to uproot a huge family. The fact they were sick made the transition even worse for everyone. Immediately, the family started looking for an @airbnb or @vrbo or hotel.

In response to the mold, Tori Spelling said they rent their current home so she assumes that moving will also be part of their near future. They are so thankful for renters’ insurance and acknowledged it would be even more daunting without it.

Added Pressure

Coupled with the terrible mold experience, Tori Spelling also expressed how irritating it was that the school system had made it more difficult. She said, “And, special non shout out to our public school district for repeatedly not believing our kids were as sick as they’ve been continually. Just get them in school right? ”

US Weekly quoted Candy Spelling, Tori’s mother, saying,  “OMG I can’t believe how horrendous this is. I am so sorry!” she penned. “Wow no wonder how sick you’ve all been month after month after month.😢. Love you all❣️.”

  1. So sorry to hear you are suffering. Usually with mold you cannot get that out of all your possessions. I guess you will be replacing everything. You need to set up a donation fund to help you all with the move and getting all new furniture, clothes, dishes, etc. Mold is devastating homes and people’s lives. Heavenly Father, we need a miracle for the Dermott Family. Lord Jesus, please heal Tori and all the family members from these mold illnesses. In your mighty name amen. Peace and Love sending your way! Thank God for renters insurance too!

    1. We lost our Cape Cod home and all belongings to Toxic Mold (about a million dollars) with no recourse because it was due to government corruption. Get in touch with Erin Brockevich. We talked with her when she was trying to get Toxic Mold Laws in CA. over 20 years ago.

  2. Erin Brockevich got a Toxic Mold law passed over 20 years ago (we were offering advice for it). In 2001, CDC, at direction of President Bus, sent us to their Toxic Mold expert DR Eckertt Johanning in Albany NY to be tested and had a Texas firm test our home. The Doctor found we had a Toxic Mold (a cousin of Antrax) in our system. The Mold tests found the same dangerous levels in our home. Lost about a million dollars had to leave our home and all belongings. No insurance payout due to man made by illegal home construction approved by local and state inspectors and Public Safety officials. Good luck. Use your name and celebrity to protect your Family which will give some comfort to we who were ignored.
