A source told Radar Online that Ryan Seacrest has developed a sour attitude and has been snarky with his comments toward American Idol contestants. This has happened only recently. The source said that Ryan used to be a “nice, sweet guy” but he has changed recently. They said he is always in a bad mood. This reportedly even shows up when he speaks to his fellow co-stars.
When asked, it seems this attitude change happened after he left his role as a co-host on Live With Kelly and Ryan. He held that role with Kelly Ripa for six seasons. After he left the show, she took on a new role with her husband Mark Consuelos. The idea was that Ryan felt he would get a lot of offers once he left the show, and he wanted a bigger role on whatever show he ended up on. One option in his mind included Good Morning America.
However, the offers never came in. Instead, Ryan only has his American Idol hosting gig and his radio show. However, with an opening in his schedule, there doesn’t seem to be anything in the near future for Ryan outside of his current gigs. The original insider who felt that Ryan has gotten bitter said his “ego is very bruised” since he hasn’t received an offer for anything more high profile since leaving the talk show.
