Mama June Blames $1M Coke Habit On Added Health Damage
Turns out, Mama June Shannon’s expensive drug habit didn’t just cause problems for her financially, she also believe it caused a lot of issues with her health. The WEtv personality sat down with The Sun recently and opened up about how much she regrets the mistakes she made when she was younger. More specifically, she wishes she could go back and strangle her younger self for thinking it was acceptable to spend so much money on a drug habit.
At the age of 43, Mama June Shannon admits certain aspects of her health are a little worse off than they should be for someone in her 40s. Unfortunately, she is not oblivious to the fact that her expensive drug habit likely hindered her health. Turns out, there is one shocking issue with her health that she believes wouldn’t be a problem if she could have kicked her habit sooner.
What shocking health issue does Mama June Shannon blame on drugs?
Mama June Shannon fully believes her addiction to cocaine is the reason her vision became so damaged At the time, however, the damage to her vision was not motivation enough to kick the habit. When her vision became a problem, the reality TV star switched from snorting to smoking because it was easier.
Today, the reality TV star has kicked her habit and remained sober for three years. She’s happy with where she is in life. But, she can’t stop herself from thinking about all the money she blew on drugs prior to getting sober.
Unfortunately, she also reveals that her history of drug use continues to haunt her health and well-being despite giving up the drugs. The reality TV star explained that when she interacts with medical professionals it is not uncommon for them to judge her because of her history with drugs. She feels this judgment often results in her getting a different level of care than she would receive if she was someone without a history of drugs.
She pinches pennies these days
Mama June Shannon tells The Sun she’ll probably always think about what she could have done with the $1M she blew on drugs. She, however, is really big on sticking to a budget and pinching pennies these days. So, a million dollars would also go a lot farther with her because of the person she’s become today.
