What Was The Price Tag On Mama June’s Lavish Vow Renewal?

Mama June had a private and shocking courthouse ceremony with Justin Stroud just six months after they met. No one knew about it, not even her children until Pumpkin got the receipt for it. In the season premiere of Family Crisis, Justin told June that the way that they initially tied the knot was not ideal. She felt that he wanted a divorce but what he really wanted was an actual wedding. This included cake, June in a dress, and something more traditional. Of course, June said that she wanted her daughters to be involved but, at the time, they were not even speaking.

Somehow, the wedding came together, as viewers will see throughout the season, and happened in February on the beaches of Florida. All four of Mama June’s daughters were in attendance, looking radiant. So, how much did it cost to put it together? June spoke to Page Six about her wedding details. Interestingly enough, June was able to be quite frugal on her special day yet made it look like it broke the bank. “And I’ll tell you like this, we paid $13,000. No lie,” June shared.

She added that this fee was all-inclusive. What came with it were the dresses, the wedding planner, the location, hotel, and much more. More so, she wanted it noted that nothing was given to her and Justin for free. Plus, they had limited guests: “We had only 38 people at our wedding and it was his family and my family only and we had an amazing wedding designer and she put together an extravagant wedding that looked like I paid $50,000.”

A Long Process Ahead

Though the wedding came out lovely, there is a long road to get there. Mama June has to try to rectify her relationship with her girls so that they will attend the nuptials. This will play out in the current season of Family Crisis. At one point, her youngest daughter, Honey Boo Boo is seen saying she will not show up. However, she does end up going as does Jessica Shannon, Pumpkin, and Anna ‘Chickadee’ Cardwell. This is a beautiful memory for them to have as Anna is currently battling stage 4 cancer. June has been by her side the entire way.
