Where is Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson going after graduation? The seventeen-year-old is less than a month away from leaving high school and she is clearly excited. She just went to the prom in a sparkly pink dress with nails and eyeshadow to match. So, what does the future hold for the reality star? Her mother, Mama June Shannon broke it down, and here are all of the details.

What Are Honey Boo Boo’s Post-Grad Plans? Mama June Spills

Last year, Honey Boo Boo shared that she had gotten a college acceptance letter which was crazy for her fans. How could she be at that phase of her life already? More so, her mother, Mama June shared that Alana wanted to go into nursing. At this point, she has had a lot of experience taking care of people. She lives with her older sister, Pumpkin who went from two to four kids when she welcomed twins in May 2022. Yet, it seems that Alana has been more focused on having fun than on her future.

She has a longtime boyfriend, Dralin Carswell, and is busy promoting products on her social media. Yet, her future is coming full speed ahead and TMZ recently caught up with Mama June. Of course, now that Honey Boo Boo is graduating, they wanted to know what is next for her. Per June, Alana will be attending college. However, she did not disclose exactly what school Alana has settled on and whether or not she will be staying in Georgia. Right now, the new season of Mama June: Family Crisis has Alana at the beginning of her senior year.

She has a lot of activities that she is involved in and trips that she is going on. Pumpkin complains that she is quite expensive now that she is seventeen and a senior. She wants lashes and to get her nails done. Pumpkin’s husband, Josh has suggested that Alana get her license so that they don’t have to drive her around all of the time. That seems to be a stretch since they complain about the lack of financial help they get from Mama June.

How Far She’s Come

Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson won fans’ hearts as a feisty but lovable pageant girl. She held nothing back and was just fun to watch. As she grew up, she faced a lot of adversity. Mama June got hooked on substances so, in 2019, Alana had to go live with Pumpkin. By 2022, Pumpkin became her legal guardian. With graduation quickly approaching, Alana has said that she did not even think that she would make it this far. Yet, she has and she should be incredibly proud.
