RHONJ Rachel Fuda’s Roadblocks To Adopting Stepson

On the latest episode of RHONJ, Rachel Fuda and her husband, John were seen going to a lawyer’s office. The goal was to get the ball rolling on Rachel adopting John’s sixteen-year-old son, Jaiden. Apparently, this is something that she has wanted to do for some time now. However, she just never acted on it. The lawyer informed them that John’s ex would have to fully turn over her parental rights to Rachel in order for the adoption to go through. First, they would have to serve her at her last known address. After that, they would wait 45 days for her to contest it.

If she did not, then Rachel Fuda could proceed. Yet, if she did choose to contest this adoption, that would be where the trouble came in. Furthermore, Jaiden’s age was not even a factor as to whether or not he could decide if he wanted to be adopted. Rachel has said that she has been his mother for years. Yet, according to The Sun, John’s ex and Jaiden’s mother, Brittany is turning the tables on her baby daddy. Though she is currently incarcerated, she shared that she has tried to see and be in touch with her son.

“I’ve tried to get in touch with my son, but John won’t let me. Since I’ve gone to prison, John has prevented me from speaking and seeing him whatsoever. This was not my choice,” Brittany alleges. Additionally, she revealed that she would occasionally see Jaiden prior to a big arrest six years ago. Even when she was released after that time, she would try to contact John about seeing Jaiden. Admittedly, she did give up her parental rights to John due to being in jail.

The Fight Is Not Over

Brittany maintains that at soon as she is released, she fully plans on getting a lawyer so she can have access to Jaiden. This could be as soon as September of this year or as late as 2024. Though Brittany admits John is fun to see on RHONJ and not much different than real life, she only met Rachel briefly. However, fans feel that she is just using this for a storyline and they don’t really care for that. Only time will tell what will happen with the situation.

Do you think Rachel Fuda should put this situation on television? Let us know and watch RHONJ Tuesdays on Bravo.
