There’s nothing quite like a fun girls’ night out. 1000-Lb. Sisters stars Tammy Slaton and Amy Halterman seem to be living their best lives these days. Thanks to the success of their show, they’ve got more followers than ever before.
During a recent outing with friends, the TLC stars had their true personalities on full display. And their message couldn’t be clearer.

1000-Lb. Sisters fans agree there is no shortage of things to love about the show. Most of all, many viewers appreciate the sisters’ sense of humor. They’re down to earth and don’t take themselves too seriously.
That’s why one of Amy’s recent Instagram posts didn’t come as too much of a surprise for anyone.
“Had a blast last night. Totally embarrassed myself but it was fun,” Amy shared on Instagram along with several photos from the evening. “Now to go pick up my boys.. can’t wait to see my new friends again we love y’all!!!”
In the first photo, Amy and the other women are all posing and looking quite friendly with one another. But the photos after that are a little more crass.
Several photos in the Instagram post feature the women flipping off the camera. Fans that know Tammy and Amy aren’t wildly surprised here. In fact, many fans were just excited to see that Tammy seemed to be doing well at an outing. She’d even picked a new colorful hairstyle.
In each image, Tammy seemed to be standing on her own. On top of that, her oxygen tank and trach were nowhere in sight.
“Tammy standing on her own? Big W,” one of Amy’s followers commented on the post. Several others chimed in and added how proud they were of Tammy’s progress.
“Way to go Tammy !! No oxygen and walking on her own!!” another shared.

Will the TLC star qualify for skin surgery soon?
Fans are undoubtedly excited that Tammy Slaton looks healthier than ever before. But will she ever be a strong candidate for skin removal surgery?
According to one healthcare professional, that may be a long way off for Tammy.
Dr. Richard Westreich told The Sun that a skin removal surgery for someone who used to be Tammy’s size can be long, complicated, and expensive. The procedure would allegedly cost up to $85,000 and last at least half a day.
To make matters worse, the procedure would only be successful if Tammy could keep up with her lifestyle changes. She’s done well so far, but slipping backward could totally upend all her hard work. Time will tell if this looks like a viable option for the TLC star.
