What do we know about this latest Hallmark Signature Mystery? According to the synopsis, there is a skeletal find in Lake Eden! Yet, when this skeleton is found, a highly respected member of the Lake Eden community turns out to not be who they said they were.
Now, there is a double mystery. Why was the skeleton found, and who is this? Also, what is the real identity of the local resident? There is a story here, and inquiring minds want to know. That means Hannah Swensen is determined to figure out what happened.
However, her fiancĂ©, Detective Mike Kingston is not happy that Hannah is putting herself in danger. Now, Hannah has to do this in secret. Moreover, she is doing it with a former rival of Mike’s, as well as her mom, Delores.
Can Hannah safely uncover the truth, or will Mike need to save her from danger?

Who is back for another episode of Hallmark’s popular mystery franchise? Firstly, Alison Sweeney (Days Of Our Lives, The Chronicle Mysteries) is back, as is Cameron Mathison (General Hospital, All My Children). Next, Barbara Nivens (Chesapeake Shores, The Christmas Contest) is also returning, as well as Gabriel Hogan (Heartland, Raven’s Home).
Melissa Salmons (The Chronicles Mysteries, Rise And Shine, Benedict Stone), who has worked with Alison Sweeney for years, wrote the script. In addition, Pat Williams directed the movie (Joy For Christmas, Love In Winterland).

Hallmark’s Hannah Swensen Mysteries Originally Called Murder She Baked
This long-running series that was originally called Murder She Baked is based on Joanne Fluke’s novels. Now the Hallmark series is called Hannah Swensen Mysteries. A few years ago, it was explained that they renamed the series due to legal reasons.
This new Hallmark movie is based on the cozy mystery novel Carrot Cake Murder.
Will This Be The Final Hannah Swensen Movie On Hallmark?
For those Sleuthers who may have missed the news, Mystery 101 has been canceled. Therefore, Murder She Baked/Hannah Swensen is now their oldest mystery series. That is unless you count Signed, Sealed, Delivered.
Could this be the last installment of this mystery series? Hallmark has not said anything yet. However, in the books, Mike and Hannah get married. Therefore, if they don’t get married in this movie, hopefully, Hallmark will continue this series.
