‘My 600-Lb Life’ David Nelson Finds Long Lost Birth Mother?
As TV Shows Ace previously shared, David Nelson is on a quest to find his birth mother. As the My 600-Lb Life star explained during his episode, he bounced around in foster homes for a long time. He never knew his birth mother and would love to connect with her as an adult.
According to David, his mother was just 13 when she gave birth to him in California. Other than that and her name, he didn’t have much information about her.
Fortunately, there seems to be a break in the case. David had an exciting update to share with followers on his Facebook page.
What exactly did he find?
David Nelson finds new information with a little help
This week, David Nelson asked his fans and followers for help on his journey to find her. Several fans had tips for the TLC personality, including speaking with the adoption agency and trying genetic testing websites.
According to David, his adoption was closed so he didn’t believe he would have much luck with the agency. He did manage to find a distant relative through 23 and Me, but hadn’t been able to find his mother through them.
But after some hard work and digging, David Nelson has a wonderful update to share with followers.
“Success!! Thank you all so much seriously. I’m so touched from all you that have shared and help me with this search. My sister Summer Williams found my aunt on an adoption website looking for me. I’m feeling the love and support from you all thank you so much,” David shared with his Facebook followers.
The TLC star uploaded a few photos confirming that he found his biological aunt online. Fans flooded the comment section to congratulate David on this huge discovery.
“So happy for you! Bless you on this journey,” one follower wrote.
“I am so happy for you, David!!! Good luck and they are so lucky to have you!!! I hope they deserve you!!

Is My 600-Lb Life done for the season?
While fans couldn’t be happier for David Nelson’s discovery, many remain curious about the future of My 600-Lb Life Season 11. The last new episode aired on March 22, leaving many fans wondering if TLC had already ended the season.
If this is indeed the case, the season only had eight episodes, which is much remarkably shorter than previous seasons. Viewers sincerely hope that My 600-Lb Life is just on a midseason break and will pick up again later this spring.
