Andy Cohen Slams Netflix For Failed Live ‘Love Is Blind’ Reunion

A man looking angry

Andy Cohen of Bravo and Watch What Happens Live is slamming Netflix for their failed live Love Is Blind reunion. They tried to air a live reunion last night at 7 p.m. CST. Instead, it crashed and you couldn’t watch it. Later on, a few viewers could watch it, but most had to wait until today at 2 p.m. CST when they put it up on Netflix.

What Happened With Love Is Blind?

Last night fans were sitting and waiting to watch the reunion when it didn’t come on. Netflix then tweeted that it would be on, but 15 minutes late. Everyone waited around to watch it, but then it didn’t come on either. Most people are just now getting to watch it today. Netflix did apologize to fans, but that wasn’t enough to make them happy. They were quiet for a really long time before the apology came out leaving fans wondering what was going on. You can see what they said below.

Andy Cohen Speaks Out

Andy Cohen knows a thing or two about reunions since he hosts all of them for Bravo. He doesn’t think that Netflix should have even tried a live reunion for Love Is BlindUS Magazine shared what he had to say about it all. Andy talked about it on an episode of SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live.

He said, “Live reunions are a very bad idea. There is a reason we don’t do reunions live.” After that Andy Cohen went on to explain more. Here is what else he had to say about it.

“There is a reason [reunion episodes are] edited down. We could talk about a topic on a reunion taping for 25 minutes, for 45 minutes before really getting to the heart of something. Reunion shows are almost like a fishing expedition. You’re talking about different topics [and] you don’t know what’s going to land [or] what’s going to hit. By the way, a lot of times people will have incredible one-liners that no one in the room really heard because someone on the other side is talking. So we go through the footage, we hone it, we edit it [and it] is finally shaped.”

After that, he shared explaining that emotions happen and sometimes you need longer than an hour. It is really hard to know how long you should film a reunion. Bravo also teased Netflix in a tweet you can see below.
