Jessa Seewald is absent from a special family event.
Just recently, Ben Seewald’s parents took to Instagram to share a few gorgeous pictures from a recent family photo shoot. Ben, his parents, and his siblings were all a part of this family event.
But for some reason, Jessa and their four children, Spurgeon, Henry, Ivy, and Fern, were absent.
Below, you can see some of the photos that were posted on social media after the family shoot. They feature Ben’s siblings and his immediate family.
Despite not being in the pictures, Jessa Seewald did comment. The mother of four said, “I just love these!! 😍😍😍”

Fans wonder if there is trouble in paradise.
On Reddit, Duggar fans and critics posted another photo from the shoot. It was originally shared on the Seewald family’s Instagram Stories. One snarker admitted, “This is actually really strange that Ben’s wife isn’t there, but the other siblings’ partners are.”
Someone else added, “It’s real weird that his wife (who married into the family first) isn’t there. These people are all about keeping up appearances and this makes Ben appear single.”
So, where was Jessa Seewald?
Naturally, Duggar fans commented on the Seewald family’s Instagram post and asked where Jessa and the kids were. It wasn’t long before the record was set straight.
In response to a comment, Ben’s mother set the record straight. She said, “The grands had a little sickness. We hope to have their springtime pictures soon.”
So, fortunately, nothing bad appears to be going on between Ben and Jessa. Some Reddit users still feel that it’s strange that Ben wouldn’t stay home with his wife and their sick children. But others are just relieved to know that there isn’t actually trouble in paradise.
