Josh is currently serving a 12-and-a-half-year sentence on child pornography charges. He’s located at FCI Seagoville in Texas. Of course, because he’s in prison, little is known about his life these days. However, details have come out over time, revealing what’s going on behind the scenes.
The former reality TV star is caught with a cell phone.
The eldest Duggar son was recently caught with a cell phone while behind bars. For this reason, he was sent to the special housing unit (SHU). Blogger Katie Joy of Without a Crystal Ball reported this incident via social media, sharing a few details she learned from a fellow inmate’s family member. They noted, “Josh was just sitting in his room playing on the phone. Not even trying to hide it.”
That’s how he was caught and then sent to the SHU.

Now, there are questions about what Josh might have been doing on the cell phone. Could he have been using social media? It’s unclear whether he was or not. But he did get his Facebook account, which he shared with his wife Anna, taken down.
Because the profile was active at the time Josh Duggar was busted with an illegal cell phone, there is a chance he was accessing the social media platform.
On Instagram, Katie Joy of Without a Crystal Ball reported that she had Josh and Anna’s shared Facebook profile removed. Per Facebook’s rules, those who are “convicted of a s*xual offense” are not allowed to have accounts on the social media platform. Shortly after she reported this to Facebook, it was taken down.

There is no proof that Josh Duggar was actually using social media while in prison. But he did have a phone, and his Facebook account was active until just a few days ago. While he didn’t post anything during that time, there’s a chance he was still using the account to view other posts. But again, there’s no way to know for sure.
