Who Is Dandelion On ‘The Masked Singer’: All The Clues
This week on The Masked Singer, the reality singing competition series celebrated classic movies from Warner Bros. In this episode, two of the singers moved on thanks to the judges’ saves, but the one that the fans loved the most was Dandelion.
Here is who we think Dandelion is and how that ties into the clues.
Who is Dandelion on The Masked Singer?
This week, Doll returned after winning last week on The Masked Singer and he had two new competitors. Each song sung this week was from a Warner Bros. movie, with the oldest over 80 years old and the newest was a very old song from a movie that came out in 2022.
Doll sang “Jailhouse Rock,” the classic Elvis Presley song that was highlighted in 2022’s Elvis movie. Dandelion went with the oldest song of the week when she sang “Over the Rainbow,” the classic song from The Wizard of Oz. Finally, Mantis came out and he sang the Bob Seger classic, “Old Time Rock & Roll.” That song was from the Tom Cruise movie, Risky Business.
After the fan vote, Doll ended up losing. Dee Snider of Twister Sister took off the Doll mask, making our guess last week correct. This meant that Dandelion and Mantis moved on to the Battle Royale.
In the Battle Royale round, Dandelion and Mantis faced off and sang the song “(I’ve Got) a Golden Ticket” from the movie Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. By the end of that, the fans made their decision and voted for Dandelion to move on in the competition.
What are the Dandelion clues on The Masked Singer?
In the Dandelion clue package, she said her life always felt like a movie, name-checking The Wizard of Oz. She walked through a black and white farmhouse and said she started her career as a child, just like Judy Garland. There was also a wanted poster with her face on it.
She then name-checked people she worked with, listing Madonna, Elton John, Flea, and then said the living and the dead. This led to a zombie showing up. She said she was restless and wanted a place to call home and play her “keys.” There was then a sign that said “Welcome to Music City.”
Dandelion added a “twister” hit her home, but she rebuilt, and no matter what there is always sunshine after the rain. Finally, there was one more clue – ruby slippers with a tag that said “Billboards.” She said she performed in TV, movies, and concerts, and even charted next to Olivia Rodrigo.
The panelists made a wide variety of guesses. Nicole Scherzinger guessed Zooey Deschanel. Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg guessed Emmy Rossum. Ken Jeong guessed Reese Witherspoon.
There is no telling who is under the Dandelion costume on The Masked Singer. The voice sounds just like Vanessa Williams, but the clues don’t match up to her career and life. Stay tuned because she will be back for the quarterfinals.
