Ali Fedotowsky gives surgery update on Molly

Ali Fedotowsky Manno went to social media to give a few more updates on her daughter Molly. Her precious little girl had to undergo surgery Wednesday morning to repair a badly broken arm following an injury she had on the playground. It seems Molly was playing, having a blast when she slipped and fell from the monkey bars.

The Manno family spent the evening at the ER with Molly. Since the break was so severe, Molly was admitted to the hospital and she and Ali stayed overnight. This morning, Molly went back to have her arm repaired.

Ali went to Instagram to this morning to say that Molly was being taken back into surgery. She said she knows it’s common and a minor surgery but knowing her little girl is on a tiny breathing tube and being away from her is too much to handle. Ali also thanked fans for sending love to her family noting that they can feel it.

A little while later, Ali went back to Instagram to share another update. She said Molly was out of surgery and recovering in her hospital room. Ali also shared that this happened to be the exact hospital room she and Molly stayed in when Molly was admitted to the hospital a year ago for dehydration.

Ali is thankful the surgery is over and is looking forward to Molly being discharged to go home. She sends love to all parents who spend a lot of time in hospital rooms with their children saying she can’t imagine how that feels.

She’s thankful for her husband

Ali shared a funny story saying she’s thankful for her husband being able to make her smile in stressful situations. It seems the surgery waiting room had a sign on the wall that this was a play area. There were chairs and literally not one toy to be found. Ali joked she wanted to go over there and start playing so badly.

It’s nice Ali is finding the positives in a difficult situation.

  1. In 1982, My daughter broke her arm doing a cartwheel the day before she made her first communion. We spent 3 hours in the very busy waiting room of the ER and I was getting very frustrated so I went up to the desk and pulled a “Shirley MacLaine move” (from Terms of Endearment ) and yelled that “my daughter is in pain and she needs to be seen right now .” She actually had broken it at the elbow. She was put in a cast and sent home with instructions. Fortunately, children heal quickly and within 3 weeks, she had the cast taken off and that was it. She resumed all her activities with no problem. P.S. Her communion dress fit over the cast and I ripped apart one of my lacy slips to make a sling and she looked beautiful making her first communion. Hope your cute little Molly heals quickly and is able to resume a normal life as soon as possible. And Ali, take some deep cleansing breaths and relax. These things happen.
