Why Isn’t A New Episode Of ‘My 600-Lb. Life’ On Discovery+?
Wednesday means one thing to reality TV fans who enjoy TLC: A new episode of My 600-Lb. Life. Fans of Dr. Now with a Discovery+ subscription waste no time rushing over to the streaming platform this morning to check out the new episode of the TLC series. Unfortunately, Discovery+ subscribers were pretty disappointed this morning when they jumped onto the platform and couldn’t find a new episode of the series. Is there a reason why a new episode of My 600-Lb. Life isn’t on Discovery+ today?
Why isn’t a new episode of My 600-Lb. Life on Discovery+ today?
Unfortunately, a new episode of My 600-Lb. Life has not been dropped on Discovery+ for fans to enjoy today. Now, some fans wonder if this was just a fluke. Would a new episode still be airing on TLC today? Checking TLC’s schedule for today, there isn’t a new episode listed to air today. So, the simple reason why a new episode isn’t on Discovery+ is that there isn’t a new episode airing today.
Naturally, this leaves fans wondering: Why? Is Season 11 of My 600-Lb. Life over already? Fortunately, it is unlikely that the answer to this question is yes. Looking back at the episode list on Discovery+, there have only been eight episodes of Season 11 thus far. Season 10, which was hindered by the COVID-19 pandemic, was 15 episodes long. So, fans can safely assume there will be at least seven or eight more new episodes before Season 11 comes to a close.
Now, this doesn’t necessarily mean there is a good reason why a new episode wasn’t available this week. Fans can only assume there was a delay somewhere in filming and production. Likewise, this could just be a midseason break.
Will there be a new episode next week?
Making bad news worse, TLC’s schedule for next Wednesday does not have My 600-Lb. Life on the agenda either. The schedule for Wednesday, April 5th shows episodes of Dr. Pimple Popper airing in the time slot normally belonging to Dr. Now and his patients. TLC’s schedule on their website does not extend far enough out for fans to see what is airing on Wednesday, April 12th. But, they are hopeful this is just a two week midseason break and the TLC series will be back soon.
