New ‘My 600-Lb. Life’ Episode Not Airing On TLC Tonight: Why?
Wednesday night means one thing for Dr. Now and TLC fans: a new episode of My 600-Lb. Life! Unfortunately, fans of this series are in for a pretty big disappointment when they tune in tonight and realize a new episode is not airing.
Fans with a Discovery+ subscription may even feel compelled to flip over to the streaming platform to see if they can find the new episode there. Sadly, a new episode of My 600-Lb. Life just isn’t happening this week. This leaves fans with one pretty big question: Why? Why didn’t a new episode air tonight? And, more importantly, when can they expect another new episode?
New episode of My 600-Lb. Life not airing on TLC tonight, why?
Bummer for fans of Dr. Now and his patients as a new episode of My 600-Lb. Life is NOT on TLC’s schedule tonight. Unfortunately, the network didn’t really supply fans with any reason why a new episode is not on. Given the timing, fans can assume this is some sort of midseason break. Being just eight episodes into Season 11, it is safe to assume there will be more new episodes.
Looking at the show’s history, Season 10 was 15 episodes long. So, fans should expect at least seven or eight more new episodes of the series before Season 11 comes to an end.
What is airing on TLC instead?
Fortunately, it does look like the network did not leave My 600-Lb. Life fans completely hanging. They are airing a show that is in the same genre. Per the schedule, a show called The 685-Lb. Teen will be airing in place of a new episode of My 600-Lb. Life.
This special tells the story of a teenager named Justin Williamson, of Amarillo, Texas. Back in 2016, Justin made headlines after being coined the “fattest teenager” in the United States. The special introduces the world to Justin (who was just 18 at the time) and takes viewers with him on his weight loss journey.
When will a new episode of My 600-Lb. Life air?
Unfortunately, there isn’t really a good answer to this question just yet. TLC’s schedule confirms fans shouldn’t expect a new episode to air next week either. But, there is still no reason to believe Season 11 has already come to an end.
