‘My 600-Lb. Life’: Are Patrick & Amanda Macon Still Married?
On tonight’s new episode of TLC’s My 600-Lb. Life fans are introduced to married couple Patrick and Amanda Macon from Atlanta, Georgia. One big question fans have any time a couple is introduced on the TLC series is simple: Are they still together? Did Amanda and Patrick survive reality TV? Did they remain married?
600-Lb. Life: Patrick has a history of cheating
Viewers agreed the math was not matching when they learned Patrick Macron had been married to his wife Amanda for 20 years but he had a 16-year-old daughter with someone else. Fortunately, Patrick cleared the air by explaining that he made a mistake about four years into his marriage. He, however, admittedly didn’t feel comfortable calling it a mistake because his daughter was the end product. And, he loved his daughter very much.
Are Patrick and Amanda Macon still together?
A quick search on Facebook confirms Patrick and Amanda Macon did survive filming with TLC’s production crew for My 600-Lb. Life and that they are still together. About a month ago, the couple celebrated a few big milestones for Patrick’s daughter together. Amanda’s posts confirm that even though she is not his daughter’s biological mother she does consider herself to be a second mother.
While their Facebook profiles are pretty locked down, Amanda and Patrick seemingly confirm that he received a concerning diagnosis recently. Both posted about gallbladder and bile duct cancer about a month ago. Amanda tagged her husband and noted that everyone was with him and supporting him during this difficult time.
Amanda’s profile picture does include herself and her husband. But, it was published to her profile two years ago. While it does appear as if she posts every once in a while on her profile she either isn’t very active or prefers to keep most things private.
Amanda and Patrick’s profiles also do seem to suggest the couple did not stay in Texas as they appear to spend time pretty regularly with his daughter who just turned 18 and graduated from high school.
