‘Bringing Up Bates’ Alyssa Bates Shares HUGE Baby Update
Bringing Up Bates star Alyssa Bates Webster is back with a HUGE baby update as her due date approaches! Has her little guy finally made his debut? Or does she think he will be coming soon? Keep reading for all of the details.
John Webster & Alyssa Bates are expecting their fifth baby.
As TV Shows Ace reported, Alyssa and her husband John Webster announced to fans that they are expecting their fifth baby. They already have four daughters, Allie, Lexi, Zoey, and Maci. Their fifth (and likely final) baby is a boy and they’ve selected the name Rhett Alan.
He’s due in April, but Alyssa does tend to have her babies early. So, fans have been on baby watch for a little while now.

On Friday, Alyssa dropped a new YouTube video and revealed that it was almost baby time. After her younger brother Jackson Bates got engaged in Florida, her mom Kelly Jo Bates decided to stay in town in case Rhett made his appearance soon. So, in her YouTube video, Alyssa gave fans a little update.
In the video, Kelly Jo demonstrated her signature baby walk move, which involves power walking and swinging your arms in big motions. Alyssa said she tried it herself. Fans may recall seeing the baby walk in Katie Bates Clark’s recent labor and birth videos too.

Then, on Saturday morning, Alyssa revealed that it was officially baby time! She took to Instagram and posted a photo of herself in a hospital bed. The soon-to-be mom of five said, “TODAY’S THE DAY!!!! It’s officially BABY TIME!!!!”

In the comments section of Alyssa’s post, Bringing Up Bates fans, friends, and family members are pouring in with kind words. Alyssa’s sister Katie Bates Clark said, “So excited.” She also offered to pray for Alyssa and her family.
Family friend Jill Duggar Dillard said, “Ahh!! Congrats!!”
A fan sweetly commented, “Praying for a safe delivery for mama and baby.”
Hopefully, everything goes smoothly with Rhett’s delivery! Congratulations to Alyssa, John, and the entire family!
