Newly Engaged Jackson Bates & Emerson Wells Pack On PDA
Former Bringing Up Bates star Jackson Bates is packing on the PDA with his future wife, Emerson Wells. He shared a series of photos taken at the proposal, as well as afterward. On Saturday, Jackson revealed to fans that he had popped the question to Emerson! She said yes, and now, wedding planning is underway. As we reported, Emerson has already selected her wedding dress.
After getting engaged, Jackson and Emerson had a little photo shoot, thanks to Trace Bates’ wife Lydia. She’s a photographer and was able to capture stunning photos of the proposal too.

After sharing about his engagement, Jackson hopped back on social media to share a few engagement photos of himself and Emerson. In a couple of the photos, the couple is very close with one another, which might come as a surprise to Bringing Up Bates fans. The family typically keeps PDA to a minimum until marriage. But Jackson Bates sweetly embraced Emerson Wells in these snaps. He gushed over his future bride and said, “I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you ♥️”
Jackson chose a black button-down shirt with black slacks and coordinating shoes. Emerson wore a fitted ribbed midi dress that hits below the knee. It’s snug and hugs her body. She paired the basic dress with strappy black heels and curled her hair. You can see the photos below.

Why can’t Bringing Up Bates fans comment on his posts?
It’s unclear why Jackson Bates has chosen to keep comments off of his posts. But he doesn’t allow fans to comment on any of his posts. He’s had that feature disabled since October 2022. Before that, he did allow comments but didn’t receive very many.
Some fans think that Jackson might keep the comments off to prevent negative opinions from being shared. Not everyone agrees with the Bates family’s lifestyle, and plenty of people send hurtful comments their way. So, this could be a way for him to protect himself.
Regardless, it’s safe to say that fans are loving these new photos. In less than 18 hours, the post has received more than 6,000 likes from fans.
