7 Little Johnstons follows Trent and Amber Johnston’s family. The couple has five kids, Jonah, Elizabeth, Anna, Alex, and Emma. As TV Shows Ace reported, for months fans had been waiting for an official renewal. The family teased many times that they were filming, but without that official news from TLC, nothing was guaranteed. In some cases, filming can be underway prior to a show being renewed by the network.
Finally, TLC renewed 7 Little Johnstons for Season 13 and announced the premiere date too. The show will return on Tuesday, April 18 at 9/8c. So, as of now, it’s just over a month away! Fans will soon be able to catch up with the Johnstons and enjoy their family once again.

When TLC announced the premiere date for 7 Little Johnstons Season 13, they noted, “relationships and major life events take center stage this season.” Fans will get to follow the Johnstons to Finland to visit their exchange student, Joose, who happens to be a fan favorite.
Fans previously saw Jonah move back in with his parents. While this was a good buffer period for him, it sounds like he’s back on his own in the new season. TLC shared, “Jonah gets back on track with big plans for his future, committed to finance school and his girlfriend despite Amber’s concerns about their relationship.”
As shown in previous seasons, Elizabeth is in the process of moving in with her longtime boyfriend, Brice Bolden. TLC noted that Trent and Amber step in and “put the brakes on their dream home.”

Anna also makes the decision to go to therapy. She is hopeful she will be able to “gain a better understanding of herself and to overcome some of the difficulties she’s been encountering in both love and life.”
According to TLC, Alex also has a girlfriend, so hopefully, fans will have a chance to get to learn more about this new relationship. Meanwhile, Emma is hard at work on her business as well as her career plans as she gets older.
Of course, lots of other exciting moments will be included in the new season. Viewers will have to wait and see what else happens with the Johnstons.
