Keep reading for all of the details.

The former Bringing Up Bates star has four kids, Allie, Lexi, Zoey, and Maci. Baby Rhett Alan is due on April 3, 2023, but her other babies have come early. So, fans wouldn’t be surprised if he joins the crew sooner rather than later. Since announcing her pregnancy, Alyssa has shared many social media posts and YouTube videos about her pregnancy.

Alyssa Bates has had a rough pregnancy so far.

Unfortunately, Alyssa hasn’t had the easiest pregnancy. She has dealt with morning sickness the whole time. This is part of the reason that John and Alyssa are planning for Rhett to be their final baby. Because she’s been feeling so awful, she even had to have IVs at home. Fortunately, the end of her pregnancy is in sight.

Over the weekend, Alyssa Bates shared a new YouTube video, sharing how her pregnancy is going now that she’s nearing the end. In the video, she showed off her sonogram photos and took fans along as she went to get several infusions. She explained to fans that she had bloodwork done a few weeks prior and learned that she was low in iron. So, she started taking an iron supplement. She was feeling dizzy and very tired.

When she went back for another draw, she learned that she is anemic. She was told that the iron supplements weren’t actually working. Her body wasn’t absorbing them. To help with this, she was referred to a specialist and needed four iron infusions over a week and a half. She and John filmed while at the infusion appointments. Fortunately, everything went well and after a couple of infusions, she started feeling better.

Below, you can see an adorable image of Rhett, which was taken at around 36 weeks. Alyssa Bates reported that he has a lot of hair and that he has grown. He’s still small, but all of her kids have been small so far. Hopefully, he will arrive safely when it’s time. The Bates family is looking forward to meeting him soon!
