Katie Bates & Travis Clark are soaking up the first moments of parenthood.
As TV Shows Ace reported, Travis and Katie welcomed their first baby to the world on Feb. 17. They named their little girl Hailey James. She seems to be doing well, and the new mom and dad are adjusting to this new stage in their lives.
Amid all of the newborn bliss, Travis is experiencing some frustrating messages online. It’s gotten bad enough that he opened up about it and admitted to fans that he’s being roasted. Scroll down to see what this is all about.
Why are Bringing Up Bates fans roasting Travis Clark?
On his Instagram Stories this week, Travis shared a few new snaps with fans and admitted that he’s being slammed online. He said that he is getting “absolutely roasted” on his various social media profiles. Fans and critics think that he looks too young to be a father, so they left comments sharing their thoughts. One said it looks like he’s Hailey’s older brother rather than her dad. Someone else said he could pass for 12 years old.
Even though Travis and Katie enjoy sharing their lives on social media, he can’t help but admit that “social media is roughhhh sometimes.”
He added that he can usually laugh it off when people send negative messages, but it looks like this one hit differently.
This past week, Travis celebrated his birthday and turned 22. To tease Bringing Up Bates fans, he put up a quiz and had them guess how old he was turning. The options included 12, 15, 17, and 22. The correct answer is 22. He said, “I do realize I’m quite young to be married with a kid lol.”

Hopefully, the criticism stops soon so Travis can enjoy this time in his life with his baby girl and wife. It looks like it got bad enough for him to publicly address it, so maybe everyone will take him more seriously now.
