Jim Bob & Michelle Offer Insight Into His Family
On TLC and social media, fans have gotten to know Jim Bob and Michelle, as well as their 19 kids. Of course, there is more to their story, and much of it occurred before they ever appeared on TV. In an older clip of Jim Bob and Michelle, there’s a discussion about his father and the way he lived his life. Michelle makes a shocking statement about her late father-in-law.
Michelle Duggar Places Blame On His Father
In a resurfaced clip of Jim Bob and Michelle, which was posted to Reddit, the couple is offering advice to a single mom “who felt she could never measure up to the Duggar family.”
In the video, Michelle Duggar explained, “Really, I could back through my own life before I knew Christ at the age of 15, remembering all the baggage that I brought to the table and how Christ forgave me and set me free.”
The mom of 19 added, “Jim Bob, he walked through a lot harder than I ever experienced growing up. And a lot of those were the choices of his father not loving the Lord and not being that leader.”
She said this prompted Jim Bob to be different from his father, partially because his mom raised him in a Christian home.
In the comments section of the Reddit post, Duggar Snarkers are sharing their thoughts. Many find it surprising that Michelle is willing to speak so openly about Jim Bob’s father. One said, “The fact that he blames his father’s issues on a lack of God in his house, when Josh…” As fans may know, Jim Bob and Michelle’s eldest child, Josh, is behind bars on child pornography charges.
Someone else added, “These people really whole heartedly believe that the single mom is just lacking Jesus… what nonsense…”
