‘Agent Elvis’ Release Date On Netflix, What You Need To Know

Agent Elvis trailer

If you ever dreamed of seeing an animated series where the King of Rock and Roll was a secret agent, Agent Elvis might be just for you. The show has an incredible cast and looks like Archer if Elvis Presley was the spy instead of Sterling Archer.

Here is the release date and what you need to know.

Agent Elvis release date

Agent Elvis is a new adult animated series coming to Netflix by the studio that created Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The series features Elvis Presley in his heyday and supposes that the government enlisted him to “weaponize rock and roll” and save the world.

If this sounds like something you would want to see, the good news is that it is coming sooner rather than later. Agent Elvis premieres on Netflix on March 17. The good news is that this is Netflix, so all 10 episodes will arrive at once and you can binge the entire series as early as midnight the night before.

What is Agent Elvis about?

One of the most requested photographs in the U.S. National Archives is the photo where President Richard Nixon stood and shook hands with Elvis Presley. It happened in the Oval Office in 1970. According to reports, Elvis said he did an in-depth study of drug abuse and Communist brainwashing. He wanted to offer his services.

Elvis wanted to be named a “Federal Agent at Large” with a badge. Agent Elvis took that idea and showed what would have happened if Elvis was brought on board to help defend the country.

The synopsis reads, “In this adult comedy, Elvis trades his jumpsuit for a jetpack when he joins a secret spy program to stop villains from destroying the world.”

Agent Elvis cast

The cast is amazing, from top to bottom, and features at least one shocking name.

Matthew McConaughey voices Elvis Presley himself. While the animated series uses actual Elvis songs, when he talks, it is McConaughey. He is joined by MCU actor Don Cheadle (War Machine) as Commander, the man who sends Elvis on his missions.

Kaitlin Olson (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) voices CeCe Ryder while Johnny Knoxville (Jackass!) is Bobby Ray, two characters helping Elvis in his missions. Also on board is Niecy Nash (Reno 911!) as Bertie. Tom Kenny (SpongeBob himself) is a monkey in a suit named Scatter.

In the most surprising casting news, Priscella Presley voices herself, as the wife of Elvis Presley.

The supporting cast is also incredible. They include Ed Helms, Jason Mantzoukas, Christina Hendricks, Kieran Culkin, Chris Elliot, Fred Armisen, Simon Pegg, Gary Cole, Craig Robinson, George Clinton, and Tara Strong.
