Meri Brown Drives Solo To Her Dying Mother’s Bedside
Apart from her child Leon Brown, the one person Meri loves from the core of her heart is her mother Bonnie Ahlstrom who passed away in March 2021. Sister Wives fans know her from her appearances on the show where she helped Meri run her bed and breakfast, Lizzie’s Heritage Inn.

However, while Meri struggled with her discord with Kody Brown, she lost her mother. Season 17 was all about Christine and Kody but it did take a break from the divorce to talk about Bonnie’s death. In an emotional episode, the series recapped the event of the death. While Meri rushed off alone to the hospital after getting word about her mom, Kody was nowhere to be seen.
Meri Brown Admits She Was Nervous To Reopen Her B&B
Fortunately for the reality star, she had her friend Jenn Sullivan and her child Leon to support her at the time of her crisis. Meri confirmed the news of her mom’s death on Instagram. However, she didn’t reveal the reason she passed away. In the Season 17 episode, fans got to know the real reason for Bonnie’s death. Meri revealed that her mother suffered an extended heart attack.

After taking time away to mourn her mother’s death, Meri admitted that she was nervous to reopen Lizzie’s Inn Heritage. The bed and breakfast was non-operational for two months and before that, Bonnie was in charge of most duties at the inn. However, even if things feel odd without her mother in the picture, Meri admitted that she continues to give her strength and guidance.
Meri Brown Admits She Misses Talking To Her Mom
Now, two years later, the TV star continues to keep her mother in her memories. On Bonnie’s 78th birthday, Meri Brown commemorated the occasion by sharing a sweet post on Instagram. With a picture of her mother, she wrote, “Happy Birthday Mom! The most amazing, loving, kind, giving, selfless, Christ-centered person I had the pleasure of knowing in this lifetime. I miss talking to her, learning from her, and being inspired by her wisdom.”

The TLC star then concluded that she continues to miss her mother today and will do so forever.
