‘Shark Tank’: Where To Buy Eat Your Flowers

Eat Your Flowers

Shark Tank is back tonight with a new episode and Loria Stern is coming to the reality show to find investors for her company, Eat Your Flowers. Here is what you know about the company and where to buy its products.

What is Eat Your Flowers on Shark Tank?

Eat Your Flowers is a shortbread cookie treat. Creator Loria Stern designed the treat with handpicked edible flowers and herbs pressed into the shortbread.

Loria’s interest in this started when she was a teen heading into a possible career as a professional tennis player. She was interested in plants’ medicinal properties, but her tennis career ended. She decided on an education in the visual arts when she left the game of tennis.

As an adult, she lived in a cottage on a California estate with wildflowers all around her. She ended up taking a class in Medicinal and Edible Plants and started working as a pastry chef. Loria started off by decorating her pastries with flowers and then she realized she could extract the flavor from some of the flowers and added them to the cookies.

She quickly learned which flowers would brighten and intensify in color with the heat of the baking, and created her flower Eat Your Flowers cookies.

Loria said that she uses only natural ingredients in her cookies. This includes organic flour, cane sugar, butter, eggs, salt, vanilla chocolate, and edible flowers and herbs. The specific flowers include chamomile, lavender, nasturtiums, bachelor buttons, calendulas, and violas. Every cookie is homemade.

Loria has been a massive success heading onto Shark Tank, with features in Vogue Magazine and Harper’s Bazaar. She also has a cookbook coming out this spring.
