LPBWfans were horrified to learn Audrey and Jeremy Roloff took off on a family vacation just after getting baby chicks in the mail. Most fans questioned why the couple didn’t wait until they came back home to get the chicks as baby chickens require all sorts of attention. Turns out, the couple also left Radley behind as they just thought he was too young for the trip. So, fans assume whoever watched Radley was also tending to the chicks.
Coming back home, Jeremy Roloff had the chicks at the forefront of his mind. He realized the chicks would not really know him, Audrey, Ember, or Bode. And, that was a huge problem. Jeremy, however, didn’t really want to deal with the problem himself. So, he decided to pass the baton to his daughter, Ember.
Jeremy Roloff passes the job to Ember
Jeremy Roloff tells his followers that on the way home he made the decision to tell Ember that she had an important job when they got back home. He told her that she would need to go to the chicks and convince them the family was their friends and not their foes. Considering they got the chicks and then immediately abandoned them, the chicks were not going to recognize them at all.
Being a child, Ember Roloff was excited by the idea of getting to spend time with baby chicks. So, she was happy to dive right into the chicken coop when they got home. Jeremy Roloff shared a photo of his daughter working her magic on the chicks as he explained what she was doing in the caption of his Instagram post.
While I’m unloading the truck, she bursts into the garage with her ovies and says ‘put me in daddy!’

Fans had mixed feelings about it
Now, fans were furious they even got the chicks and left them behind. So, it isn’t too surprising that this post was met with some backlash. Some fans pointed out it was a bit lazy and careless to put Ember in the chicken coop with a bunch of baby chicks that had no idea who she was. Not everyone was out to get Jeremy in the comments though.
Some fans thought it was a great idea to get the chicks used to dealing with people. Some noted this was just a super fun experience for Ember. There were, however, some that questioned his choice of lumber as they thought it was “too pretty” to be a chicken coop.
