The time has finally come — 1000-Lb. Sisters fans are FINALLY getting to meet Tammy Slaton’s husband Caleb Willingham. This meeting has been a long time coming as Tammy and Caleb got engaged in October of last year and got married in a small ceremony surrounded by loved ones a month later. Due to the time gap between filming and reality, fans are just now getting to meet the man who put a ring on it via the TLC series.
ABOUT TIME: Fans finally get to meet Tammy Slaton’s husband
In an upcoming episode of 1000-Lb. Sisters, Tammy Slaton is finally going to introduce viewers to Caleb Willingham.
The TLC personality says in an exclusive clip shared by US Weekly from next week’s episode: “Caleb is someone I have been getting to know for the past couple of weeks.”
Still speaking to the camera, Tammy reveals that Caleb had been a resident of the facility for nearly a year. While working on their respective weight loss issues, the dup slowly got to know each other.
In the teaser, Caleb admits that he was thrilled Tammy made the decision to stay at the rehab facility because it gave him a chance to get to know her better.
Adding a dash of her sense of humor that the fan base has come to adore, Tammy admits she’s not sure whether it is a good or bad thing that she stuck around for Caleb to get to know her.
According to US Weekly‘s recap on their relationship, the duo knew each other for about a year before getting engaged and then getting married a month later.
She saved her future husband’s life
Caleb Willingham revealed that Tammy Slaton actually shared his life during their stay at the rehab facility together. he explained that he was out of oxygen and in a great deal of pain while crying. Tammy realized what was going on and got someone to come help him. Caleb said it was at that moment that he realized how kind Tammy was.
Caleb also admitted that it was hearing her weight loss story on television that inspired him to go to the facility he was at to get help for his own problems. If she could do it, why couldn’t he?
Other residents in the facility teased that might’ve made Caleb a bit of a stalker. Tammy agreed that his flirting did come off a bit stalkerish, but she didn’t mind.
Tammy Slaton also told US Weekly that she and Caleb support each other “wholeheartedly” and lean on each other on more difficult days.
“When he’s having issues with wanting to eat because he’s bored or because he’s an emotional eater, he comes to me and we talk about the situation. It’s the same for me and I talk to him. We talk about our issues and why we feel this way. We are true partners.”
