Turns out, Todd Chrisley made a rather hefty purchase to the sum of $250K just before his sentencing. What exactly did the disgraced reality TV king drop so much coin on just before going behind bars for 12 years? Keep reading for the scoop.
Todd Chrisley Made $250K Purchase Just Before Sentencing
During the most recent episode of Chrisley Knows Best, Todd dropped some serious coin on an expensive 1960 Chevrolet Corvette convertible. According to Insider, the vehicle is valued at between $90K and $259K.
At the very beginning of the episode, which fans know was filmed sometime last year before Todd and Julie were convicted, viewers watch as the reality TV star pulls up to his daughter’s house in his pristine new ride. Proud of his new purchase, Todd explains that he decided to name his new vehicle Jayne Mansfield after the actor and s*x symbol from the 1950s and 60s.
Julie Chrisley’s father, Harvey Hughes, was thrilled to see Todd pull up in the 1960 Chevrolet Corvette as it brought back all sorts of memories for him.
Julie’s father gushed as he asked Todd all sorts of questions about his new ride: “Son, you know some of the best memories I have in my life start with a ’60 Corvette.”
Todd Chrisley was a bit puzzled by his father-in-law’s questions before admitting he really wouldn’t know “any of those things” about the vehicle. The reality TV star proceeded to fess up that he didn’t purchase the car because he had some deep love for cars from the 1960s. Turns out, the real reason he bought this $250K vehicle from the 60s is simply that he thought he looked good sitting in it.

Now, Julie Chrisley agreed it was an amazing car. She also thought the car offered a wonderful opportunity for her husband to bond with her father. Todd shut the conversation down because bonding opened the door for friendships and he didn’t have any more room in his life for friends as he was booked up by his “three besties.”
Julie, honey, bonding leads to friendship. And I’m all booked up with my three besties: me, myself, and I.”
Todd ended up disrespecting his father-in-law later in the episode when he took his hot new ride to a car show but didn’t take his father-in-law along with him. He, however, later made it up to Julie’s father by taking him for a spin in the vehicle.
